HEARTS OF GOLD LUNCHEON, OCTOBER 5, FORT WORTH, TEXAS

Work is underway on the Seventh Annual Hearts of Gold Luncheon, to be held on Thursday, October 5 at Ridglea Country Club. This year’s Honorary Chair is Dr. Paul Bowman, Chairman and Professor of Pediatrics at UNT Health Science Center and former Head of Hematology/Oncology at Cook Children’s Medical Center. Our fantastic Chair, Michelle Goodwin, and our fabulous committee have planned an amazing event. This year’s program will feature the inspiring story of Stephanie Zimmerman, BSN, MSN. As a pediatric Ewing sarcoma survivor, Stephanie has devoted her life to serving those that we serve as both an oncology nurse and a “Late Effects” patient advocate. We will also have the privilege of a conversation with Dr. Richard Gorlick, Division Head and Department Chair of Pediatrics at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Dr. John Neumanaitis, Executive Medical Director of Mary Crowley Cancer Research Center on Accelerating the Path to Personalized Cancer Therapies. As always, it promises to be a day of hope, joy, inspiration and fun. Funds raised will go to support research and care for adolescents and young adults with cancer. Make sure you check our website for our fabulous raffle items. To Sponsor or purchase tickets, go to rutledgefoundation.org.
