Introducing Stephanie Zimmerman As A Rutledge Foundation Ambassador and Spokesperson

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce Stephanie Zimmerman, RN, MSN as a Rutledge Foundation Ambassador and Spokesperson. She will be featured on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook as well as blogs and public appearances. Stephanie brings a unique and passionate voice that few others can, having experienced Ewing sarcoma cancer herself as a child, becoming a Pediatric Oncology nurse, wife, mother, and miraculous recipient of a heart transplant. She went into heart failure at the young age of 38, due to the toxic chemotherapy she received when she was 8 years old. The same chemotherapy is used today on children and young adults, with the same adverse side effects. Stephanie is a voice for change, connectivity for young adult cancer patients and advocacy.

We are beyond thrilled to have Stephanie as a spokesperson and advocate as we work daily to raise the cure rates for young adults with cancer.
